Super Foods to Help You Lose Weight Fast!

To lose fat you need a balanced diet consisting of a variety of proteins, vegetables, fruits, carbohydrates and healthy fats. Eating protein not only helps maintain the lean “fat burning” tissue in your body, but it takes more energy to digest protein than carbohydrates or fats.

Eating the right fats also helps fat loss: your body holds onto fats if you don’t eat fats. Fruits and Vegetables contain vitamins and minerals – essential for maintaining health. Carbohydrates provide you with energy and fuel your exercise.

Sometimes it is difficult to remember to eat all the right foods. To help you in your fat loss goal, here is a list of super foods that you should consume regularly.

1. Eggs are a cheap, convenient and rich source of protein. The yolk contains the most nutrients – half of the protein, and vitamins A, D, and E.

2. Fish Oil has been shown to reduce inflammation in the joints and skin, lower body fat, and increase testosterone levels. Since it is difficult to get the required amount from fish each day, you could consider a fish oil supplement.

3. Berries such as cranberries, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries are healthy fruits that contain strong antioxidants. You can either buy fresh or frozen berries. One good way to eat them is with oatmeal at breakfast.

4. Yoghurts contain bacterial that improve the health of your intestines. Don’t consume frozen yoghurt or yoghurt with added sugar and fruits in it. The best choice is plain low fat yoghurt, consumed with berries and flax seeds.

5. Flax seeds are a good source of fibre, protein and omega – 3 fatty acids. You can eat them with yoghurt and berries.

6. Extra Virgin Olive Oil is 70% monounsaturated fats which protect against heart disease. It makes an ideal base for a dressing on your salads.

7. Broccoli is full of vitamins and minerals, high in fibre and is low in calories helping you to lose fat. Fibrous vegetables such as broccoli fill you up without consuming a lot of calories. Other alternatives include cabbage, cauliflower, and other similar vegetables.

8. Spinach has a very high nutrient profile and contains few calories. Like other fibrous vegetables is an ideal choice for losing fat.

9. Turkey and Chicken are two of the leanest meats you can eat. Lean beef contains approximately 4.5g of saturated fat per 100 grams. White Turkey has close to 0g. Eat it with fibrous vegetables for a low calorie nutrient dense meal!

10. Oats have been shown to reduce cholesterol, provide complex carbohydrates to steadily release energy into your body, and are high in fibre making them an ideal diet food choice. The above is of course not an extensive list, but it provides you with a list of foods which can include in your diet to help you lose fat. And always remember to drink plenty of water!
