Diet Tips to Lose Weight Fast!
People often go on a diet and lose fat, but after the diet is over, they gain all the weight back. To lose fat and keep it off, you have to change your lifestyle. Long term healthy eating with the occasional treat is the answer. Here are some tips to lose fat and keep it off!
1. Eat less Calories by selecting healthier food choices. Obvious, but true. Don’t drop your calories too drastically to begin with. If you are losing fat, keep eating the same amount of calories. If you are not losing weight, drop your calories by 300.
2. Maintain your lean body mass. Lose fat, not muscle. Muscle burns calories, fat doesn’t. By holding onto your muscle or even increasing it, you will burn more calories.
3. Burn more calories than you consume and you will lose fat. You can assist this process by becoming more active. Not only will you lose fat, you’ll also be healthier and feel better.
Exercise – there are a multitude of activities you can choose from: there are usually local exercise classes, running, cycling, swimming, etc. All of these help burn calories.
Take opportunities to get active – you can take the stairs instead of the lift, park your car further away from the entrance, and go for walks. Not only does this get you more active burning more calories, but you get out in the fresh air.
4. Cardio can make you lose fat faster and enables you to eat more. Research also shows that your metabolism is elevated for up to an hour after exercise.
5. Eat Healthy. Carbohydrates are stored as fat when you eat too many of them. Excess Carbohydrates can also cause you to experience cravings.
- Eat Vegetables – they are low in calories and fill your stomach without making you gain weight. Eat spinach, broccoli, asparagus, salad and cabbage.
- Eat Lean Proteins – such as Chicken, Turkey, Tuna and Salmon.
- Don’t cut fat out of your diet completely – your body needs a supply of healthy fats, and they also curb hunger and carbohydrate cravings.
- Limit the consumption of Junk Food – Fast food is loaded with bad fats, sugar, and packed with calories. If you must eat junk food, limit the consumption to once per week.
