Secrets to losing weight
What if I told you that there was a substance that could almost instantly make you feel fuller after meals, consume less calories, assist’s you in losing weight, gives you more energy and makes you look and feel better? What if I then went onto told you that it is not a drug of any kind, is easily available, and doesn’t cost a lot? You would probably want to know what that substance was right?
What we’re talking about is drinking the correct amount of Water each day. Of course, you know that you should be drinking lots of water each day. However what most people don’t realise is how much of an effect it has on your overall results.
The fact is, that anyone not drinking enough water (and most people aren’t!), will be in a state of semi-dehydration. One effect of any level of dehydration is reduced energy levels. The cells of your body function best when fully hydrated. Often, when you feel tired, it’s probably because you’re dehydrated! If you are fully hydrated, then you will be able to put the maximum amount of effort into any form of exercise you do. Another effect of dehydration is that it makes you feel hungry. For anyone trying to lose body fat, this is the last thing they want! Much of the time, when you feel hungry, it could mean that you are dehydrated more than it can mean that you need food. By keeping fully hydrated, you will have more chance of sticking to your fat loss diet.
How much Water should you drink?
Nutritionists recommend that you drink 8 eight-ounce glasses of water per day. However, you should try to drink beyond this amount if you are serious about feeling great and losing fat.
How to get into the habit of drinking water
Here’s how to build the habit of drinking enough water;
Drink 2 glasses of water in the morning when you wake up – you could drink one before your breakfast and one during/after (you know that if you are trying to lose fat that you should be eating breakfast, right?).
Drink 2 glasses of water every 3 hours.
Drink at least half a litre of water during any kind of exercise.
Drink lots of water after any kind of physical activity.
Take a bottle of water with you wherever you go.
